The Ignite Major races utilize the same components and rules used throughout the Ignite platform with one key difference – the competition. The Major events bring all of the best Ignite racers from around the world to compete during a single weekend. Local champions, regional winners, national standouts and professional drivers – all on track together and all on equal equipment.
Returning in 2021, the Ignite Dash at Daytona heads back to Florida with three classes: Ignite Junior, Senior and Masters – all run separately. Tired of starting off each new year shoveling snow? Change it up – get on track this year and start the year off right. The Ignite program ran with great success in 2018 and with the addition of Junior and Masters, gives Ignite racers more opportunity to enjoy the Florida sun.
Competitive kart racing returns to the freshly paved Charlotte Motor Speedway, the site of the FIA North American Championships that saw some of the best racers in the world duke it out for the NA karting crown. Race on the same layout that saw the likes of Alonso, Long, Patrick and more – Ignite Junior, Senior and Masters available.
In May 2022, Ignite karts will take the track at one of the best racing facilities in the country – New Castle Motorsports Park. For several years, Ignite racers have wanted to take the green flag at NCMP. With the addition of the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series to the Ignite Major calendar – now they can!
The Quincy Grand Prix returned in 2018 after an extended absence. The once iconic race has been reborn and brought back to its former glory. One of the only kart races in the country that draws thousands of spectators make this a must for racers looking for an event style atmosphere at the coolest “track” in the country.
There is perhaps no kart race in the country that garnishes quite the nostalgia that The Battle at the Brickyard does. For good reason too. Who hasn’t dreamed of turning laps at the Brickyard?
