Ignite Dash at Daytona

Returning in 2024, the Ignite Dash at Daytona heads back to Florida with the Ignite Senior class on the sprint track. Tired of starting off each new year shoveling snow? Change it up – get on track this year and start the year off right. The Ignite program ran with great success the last two years as one of Daytona KartWeek’s biggest classes, seeing over 35 Ignite Senior entries each year.  Ditch the cold weather and get on track this December!

Supplemental Rules

Supplemental Event Rules (Sprint Track)

  • Push back bumpers will be utilized and will be a tech item to remain in accordance with WKA’s state of the art officiating system
  • The spec Hilliard Flame clutch with 17t, #35 sprocket is required
  • Weights: Ignite Senior (360lbs)
  • Eligibility is open to all competitors, including previous Daytona, Brickyard, RIGP, Ignite Series and WKA winners
  • Spec TruSpeed or DWT wheels are required, see rulebook
  • Event will be run rain or shine, spec TruSpeed or DWT wheels will be used in the event of rain on Hoosier 4.5/6.0 WET tires
  • New Hoosier R80 tires are not required at any point during the weekend.  The tires you qualify on will be the tires you are required to use for the rest of that days competition.
  • All bodywork must be CIK homologated KG Bodywork in unaltered form
  • Per the Ignite Rule Book, section 400.20 – “The front panel may not extend above the top of the steering wheel” and must be manufactured by KG Karting
  • 2023 Briggs LO206 engine package rules will be enforced
  • Spec fuel: 87 octane from Wawa – Daytona Beach: 1900 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114
